During Art Basel Paris week, we’re spending the afternoon with curator Virginie Puertolas-Syn. She lectures at Sotheby’s Institute of Art in London, is an Ambassador for Asia Now and was Managing Director at Pearl Lam Galleries. She is also the curator of the AKI Collection and the Founder of the Puglia Art Project.
We begin at a former 19th-century joinery that’s now home to a group of artists working in Paris today, visiting four artists’ studios and meeting them in their workspaces. Then, a short ride away, we see Anselm Kiefer’s Nymphäum at Thaddaeus Ropac Pantin, in its final days.
We end the day with a closing reception: drinks, music and candles by Le Labo, among art works. A relaxed moment to talk about what we’ve seen, with the group and the artists.
Saturday 24 October, 14:00 to ~18:00. Meeting point in the northeast of Paris, near Pantin; the exact address is sent after booking. Small group. The walk is in English.
