What happens when women shape the conversation in the art world?

In honor of Women’s Month, BlueLobsterArt spotlights remarkable female voices,  both on the gallery walls and behind the gallery programs that bring these stories to life.

For this edition, we take you to Charlottenburg, one of Berlin’s most vibrant gallery districts, for an afternoon of discovery, conversation, and delightful artistic moments.

The Tour

Anahita Sadighi Gallery

We begin at Anahita Sadighi Gallery with the group exhibition “Let Us Believe in the Dawn of Spring.” The group exhibition brings together artistic works that explore cultural memory, ritual, and the interplay of space, light, and perception. The starting point is the Persian New Year, Nowruz , which is traditionally celebrated with Haft-Sin – an arrangement of symbolic elements representing new beginnings, growth, and the cyclical renewal of life. The exhibition aims to bridge tradition with contemporary art through installation, sculpture, and photography.

Haverkampf Leistenschneider

We will tour the solo exhibition by American artist Anne Buckwalter, whose paintings explore intimacy, femininity, and desire through playful yet carefully composed scenes. Her work feels both contemporary and classical in its technique - flirtatious, thoughtful, and subtly provocative.

WENTRUP

Finally, we will visit the group exhibition “Spaces in Between.” **Featuring Nevin Aladağ, Olaf Holzapfel, and Desire Moheb-Zandi, **the show reflects on craftsmanship, materials, and collaboration across cultures. The works explore themes of borders, migration, and shared creative practices, revealing how art can reshape our understanding of connection and place.

The tour includes a special performance and an intimate reception at Anahita Sadighi gallery. ☕️🥂🍨
